Calcium chloride is an inorganic salt, which exists as solid or liquid. Solid calcium chloride is a white, crystal substance in the form of flake, granule, pellet or powder. With different crystallized water contents, it can be dihydrate or anhydrous. Liquid calcium chloride is a colorless, clear solution. As calcium chloride has such properties as quick dissolving, exothermic ability, attracting moisture from the air and surroundings, dissolving at very low temperature.

   Calcium chloride, a salt composed of chlorine and calcium, is CaCl2.It's bitter, it's tasteless.It is a typical ionic halide, which is white, hard crumb or granule at room temperature.It is commonly used in the use of refrigeration equipment used in brine, road melting and desiccant.

Calcium Chloride can be used to achieve rapid density increase with minimum volume addition. It also provides inhibition preventing the hydration and migration of swelling clays and can be used in packer fluids. Calcium Chloride is available with anhydrous (CaCl₂) and dihydrate (CaCl₂.2H₂O) in forms of powder and pellets.
